Exploring funetics holiday camps – why are they special?
funetics is an inclusive programme for children aged 4 to 11 that teaches fundamental movement skills. Running, jumping and throwing are all basic movement patterns that are a key part of a child’s development. Our sports holiday camps, created by England Athletics, aim to support children through these skills.

funetics aims to create opportunities for more children to find a sport they enjoy. We believe it‘s important that primary school children sustain their participation in sports. To do this, creating the “right experience” is key. This idea is where our sports holiday camps sprung from.

What do children do on holiday camps?
Our holiday camps and activities are all about developing the fundamental movement skills: running, jumping and throwing.
We do this with multiple sports and athletics, as well as through arts, crafts, and food lessons. All our activities are age appropriate and inclusive. our holiday camps encourage fun, interaction, play and the occasional competition where it’s appropriate.
