Introducing Katarina Johnson-Thompson

We are excited to welcome Commonwealth Heptathlon Champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson as an Ambassador of funetics, and truly believe her involvement will help to inspire children further.

Best known for her competence both on the track and in the field as a multi-eventer, Johnson-Thompson is no stranger to success. At the tender age of 26, the two-time Olympian has an impressive athletics resume, which includes her most recent victory in Glasgow in front of a rapturous home crowd at the European Indoor Athletics Championships.

Johnson-Thompson burst onto the senior stage in 2012. Having won the gold medal at the World Junior Championships in Barcelona she prepared for what would be a breath-taking experience in front of an electric crowd at the London 2012 Olympics.

On her Olympic debut at just 19 years old, Katarina racked up an impressive 6,248 points to finish in 15th place.

Preparations for her third Olympics in Tokyo in 2020 are on track. Over the past 18 months Katarina has added World Indoor and Commonwealth Games gold medals to her collection as she has cemented her position amongst the world’s most impressive, and most loved, all around athletes.

"funetics is a fantastic opportunity for more young children to access running, jumping and throwing at an early age and in a way that is fun, safe and nurturing and accessible all year round. For parents to be able to track their child’s progress digitally is amazing. I am proud to be an ambassador of funetics and supporting children to get more active."
