funetics at the heart of Physical Literacy delivery and conversation

funetics is proud to exhibit and join plenary sessions at this year’s School Games National Summit (13 June).

This year’s Summit theme will talk about developing an understanding of Physical Literacy to create positive experiences, which is perfectly aligned with the funetics programme.

funetics is at the very heart of physical literacy delivery and discussion, as the programme is designed specifically to enable primary school children to learn and develop fundamental movement skills – which are athletics based and include running, jumping and throwing. funetics reflects the requirements of the National Curriculum Key Stages 1 and 2 and inspires children and young people to enjoy and perform in competitive sport or other physically demanding activities with confidence, support and together with other children in school, in the local community or at home.

The funetics team from England Athletics will host mini funetics demonstrations and discuss the varied opportunities for partners and schools to engage with funetics via:

funetics curriculum licence
Sports Day
Holiday Camps
Commonwealth Games Legacy funding
Funetics Leaders courses
